Getting to Ottawa Aikikai

Our dojo does not have a dedicated parking lot, so we encourage members to consider public transit, cycling, walking, or carpooling whenever possible.

Public Transit

The dojo is conveniently accessible by public transit, with several bus routes and nearby stops.

The 14 runs along Gladstone with the closest stop being Gladstone and O’Connor. The 6 and 7 both run along Bank street and have stops at Bank and Gladstone. Please visit the OC Transpo trip planner website for schedules or more route options.

By Bike

Bike racks/locks are available directly in front of the building, making cycling an easy option for members travelling to and from class.

By Car

Street parking and several paid parking lots are available within walking distance of the dojo. If you drive, please allow a few extra minutes before class to find parking.

Street parking is available within a couple blocks of the dojo along O’Connor, Frank and Macleod. See the City of Ottawa interactive parking map for detailed location info.

Street parking is generally free in the early mornings and evenings, but please check posted signs and parking restrictions carefully, as availability and rates vary.

• Standard rate: $5 per half hour (4:30 am – 4:30 pm)

• Maximum of $18 per day

• Evening flat rate: $7 (after 4:30 pm)

• Daily: $11.00

• Evening/Weekend: $6.00
